The flag of Azerbaijan, which has been the official flag of the country since 1991, was determined for the first time by the government of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic at a meeting held in 1918. The red stripe of the flag, which consists of blue sky color, and red and green horizontal stripes, has a white right-facing crescent and an eight-pointed star on flag.

Citizens who want to travel to Azerbaijan need to obtain an Azerbaijani visa. Turkish citizens who will enter the country from the capital Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport are given a gate visa for 10 USD at the airport.
Citizens who do not want to get a gate visa at the airport and do not want to pay a fee can get a visa free of charge with the application they will make from the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ankara and the Consulate General in Istanbul and the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan abroad.
